Further Expansion for Wizz Air: The airline will launch a new base at Warsaw Modlin Airport this December.
Low-cost airline Wizz Air, which will resume flights to Israel on August 8, announced that it will establish a new operating base at Warsaw Modlin Airport starting this December. This will be the airline's sixth base in Poland, reinforcing Wizz Air's position as one of the most dominant low-cost carriers in the country.
As part of the initiative, the company will station two new Airbus A321neo aircraft at the airport and launch 11 new direct routes to major cities across Europe.
The expectation is for more than half a million seats annually from the new airport, which will increase air traffic in the region and offer Polish passengers more smart and affordable flight options.
