Prague Has Plenty to Smile About: June 2025 concluded with an impressive statistic at Václav Havel Airport, with no less than 1,697,795 passengers passing through. This marks a golden era in tourism for the Czech capital.

Today's published data from the airport also reveals the most popular destinations for departures and arrivals from Prague, painting a particularly optimistic picture for the local tourism industry.

Leading the list of countries from which (or to which) most passengers traveled is the United Kingdom, followed by Spain and Italy.
In the cities category, London maintains the top spot, with Paris coming in second and Antalya, a classic summer destination, completing the top three.

After challenging years, Prague Airport is re-establishing itself as a significant transport hub in Europe, with a steady increase in passenger numbers and consistent improvement in connectivity. Forecasts for the remaining summer months suggest further growth, both in tourist and business flights.

For Prague, a city that masterfully combines historical charm, competitive prices, excellent cuisine, and accessible hospitality, these numbers are a clear testament: the city is once again a major player on Europe’s tourism map.

The popularity of Prague is also evident in the Israeli market: the high demand and growing number of flights have made the city one of the most significant and stable destinations for Israelis in recent years.
Dozens of weekly flights operate from Israel to the Czech capital, with a regular presence of Israeli airlines, as well as Smartwings, Wizz Air, and Blue Bird.
