After 8 years in her role: The CEO of Fattal Hotels Group has announced her departure.
As first published in PassportNews, Aviya Magen, CEO of Fattal Hotels Israel, announced her departure after 24 years with the company, of which she served as CEO for eight years.
Magen is considered one of the influential and senior figures in the Israeli hotel industry.
Magen, who holds a bachelor's degree in law, joined the network immediately after being discharged from the military, and over the years held a series of managerial positions until she was appointed in 2017 as CEO of Fattal Israel. In her role, she was responsible for managing approximately 41 active hotels throughout the country and an additional 21 under development, alongside direct management of more than 7,000 employees.
During her tenure, she led strategic moves, strengthened the network's position in the local market, improved profitability, and consistently increased Fattal's activity in Israel. She was involved in managerial upgrades, the development of advanced service mechanisms, and the implementation of operational processes considered leaders in the industry.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, she managed the tourism crisis with responsibility and discretion, maintaining operational and financial stability. She led the network to significant recovery swiftly, earning widespread industry appreciation.
In addition to her role at Fattal, Magen served as Vice Chairwoman of the Israel Hotel Association, where she worked with government offices and regulatory bodies for the benefit of the entire tourism industry, promoting regulatory changes and conditions that would allow the industry's growth in the future.
David Fattal, the Owner and Chairman of the Group, stated: "Aviya is one of the outstanding and significant managers who grew within our house. She brings a rare combination of business acumen, an open heart, and the ability to lead people with strength, humility, and wisdom. For me, she was always a true partner on the journey, not just a talented manager but also a pillar of values and action. I thank her for many years of loyalty, relentless action, broad impact, and especially for being an inseparable part of the company's heart".
Aviya Magen added: "I am concluding a significant chapter of 24 years, during which Fattal became a home for me. I had the privilege to be part of deep growth and impact processes, to lead extraordinary people, and to advance the company at the business level, in organizational culture, and in strengthening reputation. I thank David Fattal for the opportunity, trust, and shared journey. I had the privilege of working alongside an inspiring person, a groundbreaking leader with vision and a rare ability to move people with faith. I am moving on with a full heart, much pride, and gratitude".
Magen is expected to continue accompanying the network's management in Israel during a structured transition period in the coming months.
