The airline Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) unveiled today at Zurich Airport its new luxury class seats (First and Business) as part of the new cabin system SWISS Senses.

The seats will come into use with the arrival of the new Airbus A350-900 aircraft, and the first long-haul destination will be Boston, starting this winter.

The first aircraft will be delivered to SWISS in October and will initially be used for European domestic flights for integration and training purposes. Starting January 1, 2026, flights to Boston are already open for booking.

SWISS Senses represents the most comprehensive and revolutionary passenger cabin design the company has ever undertaken, emphasizing a personal and pleasant flight experience across all service classes.

The interior design includes a warm and soothing color palette, smart lighting to prevent jet lag, personal Bluetooth connectivity at each seat, and new entertainment systems with wide screens.

In the First Class (SWISS First), closed suites featuring sliding doors, personal wardrobes, seat heating and cooling, wireless charging, and a full-size screen were introduced. The central suite is adaptable for two passengers together. The lavatory area has also been redesigned, inspired by the unique spring in the town of Vals, Switzerland.

The Business Class (SWISS Business) also experienced a redesign with a variety of seating options, including seats with a private door—all converting into flat beds up to 2.2 meters long. The seats also feature wireless charging and personal heating and cooling options.

The premium class will remain unchanged significantly, providing nearly a meter of generous legroom.

Economy class will offer new, more spacious seats, screens over 13 inches with Bluetooth connectivity, and USB ports.

Later on, the company will extend the new cabin design to the A330-300 and Boeing 777-300ER aircraft in the existing fleet.

Heike Birlenbach, Chief Commercial Officer of SWISS, said: "I am excited about the ability to offer a more personal, luxurious, and intimate flight experience with the arrival of our A350 aircraft. This is the biggest investment we have ever made - and it will set a new standard in service and comfort for our customers."
