Boeing sees a sharp rise in deliveries. Boeing reports revenues of $22.7 billion in the second quarter, a 35% increase compared to the same period last year, primarily due to a sharp rise in the delivery of commercial aircraft. The company delivered 150 aircraft during the quarter, compared to 92 aircraft in the same period last year, and increased its monthly production of the 737 model to 38 aircraft.

The Commercial Airplanes division experienced an 81% jump in revenues to $10.9 billion. Operating losses were reduced to $557 million, with profitability improving to -5.1% from -11.9% last year. Boeing recorded 455 net orders in the quarter, including major deals with Qatar Airways and British Airways, according to company reports. Its order backlog grew to more than 5,900 aircraft worth $522 billion.

Despite the increase in revenues, the aviation giant reported a total loss of $612 million. However, the loss per share was $1.24, a significant improvement compared to the loss of $2.90 per share last year. Free cash flow remained slightly negative at minus $200 million, although operating cash flow turned positive at $227 million.

Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg attributed the improved performance to "substantial changes to enhance safety and quality," emphasizing the company's focus on stabilizing operations and restoring customer trust.
