Air India is delaying its return to Israel.

Despite the welcome return of numerous foreign airlines to Israel over the past month, another major and significant airline has decided to extend its suspension of flights to and from Israel.

The Indian aviation giant Air India will not resume its flights to Israel until October 25, 2025.

The decision by the Indian company not to resume flights on the Tel Aviv-New Delhi route comes after it had already extended, several times, its return date to Israel even before the conflict with Iran, contrary to the wave of renewals by many foreign airlines that have resumed flights to Israel in recent weeks.

The suspension of the route continues the disconnection of direct air travel between Israel and India, especially since El-Al also does not operate flights to this destination.

Anat Naner, Air India's commercial manager through Offek Sky, the company's representative in Israel, confirmed the publication and said this evening to Passport News: "We look forward to Air India's return in the winter flight schedule and hope for the expansion of direct flights to additional destinations in India."

Let us recall that Air India, Air India, has issued an official update regarding compensation and support efforts following the disaster of flight AI171, in which all 242 passengers on board perished.

The Tata Group, the owner of Air India, has also established the "AI-171 Memorial and Welfare Fund," which will work to assist and preserve the memory of the victims. The fund announced a one-time payment of one million rupees (approximately $120,000) to each of the families, as well as funding for the rehabilitation of damaged infrastructure, primarily the student dormitories of B.J. Medical College.

The fund also announced its intention to provide psychological support and assistance to all emergency and treatment forces, including paramedics, social workers, medical teams, firefighters, volunteers, and government officials who were involved in the event.
