Thailand Ensures Tourist Safety: Five days after the declaration of a ceasefire between Thailand and Cambodia, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) issued a detailed and reassuring statement about the country's security situation for tourists.

In the transportation sector, they confirm that all international and domestic services are operating as usual: flights, trains, buses, highways, and ferries. Airports and seaports remain fully functional. Travelers can move freely and safely across the five regions of the country and beyond.

Regarding aviation, it is highlighted that Thailand's airports serve 140 international and local airlines, offering thousands of weekly flights connecting Thailand with major cities worldwide. The national airline, Thai Airways, continues to provide high-level service to Asia, Europe, and more. It is also noted that entry by train from Malaysia (not available for Israelis) or by sea is possible.

TAT states the country is enhancing safety measures, despite temporary closures in areas adjacent to the Cambodian border, including Ubon Ratchathani, Si Sa Ket, Surin, Buriram, Chanthaburi, and Trat. Travelers are advised to avoid these areas until further notice. Travel advisories are regularly updated to reflect the latest official guidelines.

5 Must-Experience Activities

TAT promotes its "5 Must-Experience" campaign: taste the vibrant culinary scene from street food to high-end Michelin restaurants; experience - local traditions; shop - fashion, design, and unique Thai souvenirs; seek - hidden gems and lesser-known towns across all five regions; see - colorful cultural festivals and celebrations all year round.

TAT declares, "Thailand is a nation of great hosts - known for its hospitality, offering visitors genuine warmth, care, and cultural pride. Whether staying in a village home, a boutique guesthouse, or a luxury retreat, travelers are welcomed with friendly smiles and thoughtful service. Thai hosts go above and beyond - sharing local traditions, providing personal touches, and creating a sense of belonging that turns every visit into an unforgettable experience."

In conclusion, the Tourism Authority of Thailand emphasizes: The country maintains high safety standards across the tourism sector, coordinating efforts with public agencies and local partners to ensure a safe and enjoyable travel experience. Tourist police stationed in key destinations throughout the country serve as a first reliable contact point for travelers in need of assistance - offering multilingual support, safety tips, and emergency help 24/7. Additionally, dedicated visitor support centers and clear signage in tourist areas facilitate access to updated travel information and guidance.

Israelis Love Thailand

It is also worth noting that Israel recently received recognition and honor from the Thai Tourism Authority. According to data presented at an event by the authority in Thailand, Israel has the highest growth rate among distant markets globally - with more than a 60% increase in tourism volume compared to the same period last year.

Furthermore, Israel ranked second globally in hotel bookings in Thailand for the months of July to September 2025, with over 87,000 bookings, second only to Germany (89,000).
