The official data from Hermes Airports indicates a sharp growth trend that has continued since the beginning of the year.

From January to July 2025, 7.3 million passengers traveled through both airports, an increase of 11.4% compared to the same period last year.

Larnaca: 5.3 million passengers, with 1.2 million in July alone, a jump of 13.5% compared to July 2024.

Paphos: 2 million passengers, with 452,857 in July, a rise of 3.2%.

These impressive numbers not only reflect high demand for flights to Cyprus but also position it as a particularly sought-after tourist destination during this hot European summer.

The investments by the neighboring island in collaborations with numerous airlines and capacity expansions are proving effective, and it seems that the last word hasn’t been said yet in Cyprus, which recently announced a significant upgrade of its local airports in Larnaca and Paphos. The neighboring island declared it as one of the most ambitious aviation infrastructure plans in its history, including a systematic upgrade of the two international airports in Larnaca and Paphos, with a total investment of 170 million Euros.
