Elora is a development of everything that makes Oceania Cruises so unique — culinary excellence, immersive destinations, and commitment to small ship luxury experiences," noted Harry Sommer, President and CEO of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, on his LinkedIn page.
Sommer refers to Oceania Allura, the new ship from the Oceania Cruises brand by the NCL Group, set to launch this fall. The ship, weighing 68,000 tons and approximately 241 meters long, will host 1,200 passengers with full capacity along with 800 crew members.
Sommer also wrote, "With a capacity of 1,200 guests, the most spacious standard rooms at sea, and an unrivaled chef-to-guest ratio, Allura fulfills a vision our teams have worked on for years. From innovative crêperies and Nikkei-style fusion dishes at the Red Ginger Restaurant to the new digital learning center and the return of Jacques Restaurant—every detail on board reflects the investment and creativity of thousands, from designers and shipbuilders to crew members and more. To everyone who brought this ship to life—thank you! I look forward to being in New York this fall to welcome Allura to the 'Big Apple'."
