Israir Airlines has welcomed its ninth Airbus A320 to its fleet — the fifth fully owned by the company.
Until April 2026, the aircraft will be operated by foreign crews while the company trains Israeli crews — both officers and captains — to eventually take over. The company notes that over 100 pilots have applied to join Israir, reflecting trust in the brand and its professional reputation in the industry.
Israir currently operates 9 self-operated aircraft alongside 10 others via wet lease to meet growing demand. Last July, the company hit a record by flying approximately 230,000 passengers — the highest number in its history for a single month.
Projections for 2025 exceed 2 million passengers. Israir states it will continue improving air transport in Israel, enhancing travel experiences, and strengthening relationships with customers worldwide.
It is worth remembering that Israir closed 2024 as a record year — the best in the company’s history.
