Major Expansion in India: Marriott International has signed a partnership agreement with Brigade Hotel Ventures Limited to establish six new hotels, totaling 940 rooms, across four regions in India. These projects are new constructions that will operate under five of the brand's labels: Ritz-Carlton, JW, Marriott Hotels, Courtyard Bay, and Fairfield.
The new hotels are expected to open gradually between 2027 and 2030, located in major cities in southern India – Chennai, Bangalore, Trivandrum, and on the island of Vaikom in Kerala. Notable projects include:
Ritz-Carlton Vaikom Kerala: A luxury resort with 70 private villas, each with a pool, set to open in 2029; JW Chennai - A hotel with 250 rooms and suites, featuring a luxurious spa and five culinary venues, expected to open in 2030; Thiruvananthapuram World Trade Center - A hotel with 200 rooms as part of an integrated development, with five restaurants, a swimming pool, and a spa, expected to open in 2030; Courtyard Chennai business hotel with 45 rooms, expected to open in 2027; Fairfield Bangalore with 224 rooms, near the airport, expected to open in 2028 and Fairfield Bangalore Brigade Valencia - A hotel with 151 rooms in Bangalore, expected to open in 2028.
