Carnival Cruise Line has opened bookings for its new ship, the Carnival Festivale, which will launch in 2027.
The cruising giant revealed more details about the facilities and experiences designed to transform the voyage into an "ongoing festival of music and fun for the whole family," as stated in their announcement.
The ship’s maiden voyage is set for May 19, 2027, departing from Port Canaveral on a 4-day cruise to the Bahamas, stopping at Carnival's private destinations: Celebration Key and RelaxAway (Half Moon Cay).
The main cruise schedules will feature 6-8 day itineraries in the Eastern and Southern Caribbean. Destinations include Amber Cove, San Juan, St. Thomas, St. Maarten, and the private island RelaxAway. Every cruise will include a visit to Celebration Key, Carnival's new exclusive destination in Grand Bahama. The Southern Caribbean routes will also include Aruba, Bonaire, and Curacao. Additionally, a special 7-day New Year’s cruise will depart on December 27, 2027. Over 50 cruises on the new ship are already on sale.
The company further announced that the new ship will emphasize festivals. "Music is the universal language that connects families and friends, and Carnival Festivale will enhance this unique connection," said Christine Duffy, President of Carnival Cruise Line. "Everyone, at every age and with any interest, will find their rhythm on this ship".
What does this mean on board? For example, alongside the central hall rising three stories, which also serves as a live performance space, the Studio 724 music venue will operate. "Using advanced technology, the space responds in real time to sounds with synchronized lighting and animations, inviting guests to be an active part of the musical journey," it was stated.
Moreover, Deck 6 will feature The Spark, a space centered on songwriting art, with cocktails inspired by iconic hits and live music performances every evening. Nearby is Carnival’s famous Alchemy Bar, offered here in an upgraded version with a separate lobby and unique stage.
On Deck 7, the Mix Bar will allow guests to order cocktails or create a personal drink using “flavor layers” at a bar designed like a record system. On Deck 8, an area mimicking the social atmosphere of outdoor music festivals will operate. A colorful promenade will connect dining and drinking venues, transitioning from a lively daytime vibe to a relaxed night atmosphere.
Also on board, spanning decks 16-18, is the main attraction - the Carnival WaterWorks Ultra water park, the largest in Carnival's history. On Deck 16, Vista Pool with a toddler water area, dining options like Big Chicken and Swirls Ice Cream. On Deck 17, a nostalgia games area, scenic bar, glow mini-golf, hanging bridges, a dry slide, and a toddler playground. On Deck 18, the heart of the water park - six slides of various sizes, two new family raft slides (SunSoaker and Turning Tides), racing slides Racing Currents, and additional small slides for children. For the first time, the park will operate at night with colorful lighting and a live DJ.
