Delta resumes its New York-Tel Aviv flights: Starting next week, Delta Air Lines is set to resume its direct route between Tel Aviv and New York, after an extended stop due to "Operation Protective Edge".
Simultaneously, the American airline announces its European expansion with two significant routes to be added to Delta's network in the upcoming spring from Boston, a major and bustling airport.
The new destinations are Madrid, Spain's capital, with daily flights starting May 16, and Nice, France, with three weekly flights starting May 17. With these new routes, Delta will fly to 12 destinations in Europe from Boston. In total, Delta operates numerous destinations from Boston, around 20 of which are outside the United States.
Additionally, Delta announces the expansion of its service to Barcelona with daily flights starting May 7 and increasing flight frequency to Milan to four weekly flights.
"As the leading airline in Boston, Delta plays a vital role in connecting the city to the world," said Paul Baldoni, Senior Vice President of Network Planning. "By adding direct flights to Madrid and Nice, we enhance our European network and continue our commitment to delivering an exceptional flying experience from start to finish."
The flights will be operated using Delta's advanced aircraft, the A330-900neo, which the airline will also use for flights to Israel, featuring four classes, with the luxurious Delta One business class leading the way.
