Air France Launches New Cabin Design. On September 1, Air France inaugurated the first flight with the new cabin-equipped Embraer 190.

The flight, operated by the regional subsidiary HOP!, flew from Paris-Charles de Gaulle to Hamburg. In the new cabin, passengers in both business and economy classes enjoyed new, lighter, and more comfortable seats, free high-speed Wi-Fi, and a well-lit and elegant cabin.

By summer 2026, all Embraer 190 cabins of Air France will be refurbished. The Embraer 190 aircraft now has 110 new seats configured in a 2-2 setup. Each ergonomic seat is leather-padded for greater comfort and durability. The seat width is 46 cm, featuring a tray table, optimal storage space, foldable armrests, and a coat hook. The headrest is adjustable for height and side.

At eye level, each passenger has a retractable stand for their mobile device with a surface for securely placing a smartphone or tablet. USB A and C ports are available for charging their devices, including laptops, and there's also an integrated double cup holder for maximum convenience.

Business customers sit in the front rows of the aircraft. For comfort and privacy, a movable curtain isolates this part of the cabin. Starting October 2025, each business customer will have an empty seat beside them.

During the flight, all customers will have access to ultra-fast Wi-Fi. This new service on this aircraft is entirely free by connecting to the Flying Blue account, the loyalty program of the Air France-KLM group. Air France is gradually equipping all its aircraft, including the regional fleet, with this advanced technology.

The aircraft's cabin features the colors of the Air France flag, with shades of blue, a strong presence of white, and touches of red, as well as on the seats and wall decorations of the cabin.

The seat structure, made of carbon fibers, titanium, and aluminum, is both lightweight and extremely strong, mainly incorporating recycled elements. Each new seat is 30% lighter than the current model, helping to reduce the aircraft's overall weight, thereby reducing fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.
