United Airlines is renewing direct flights from Tel Aviv to two key U.S. destinations: Washington Dulles and Chicago O'Hare.

Flights to Chicago will begin on November 1 with four weekly flights, while the route to Washington will be renewed the following day, November 2, featuring three weekly flights.

This is a significant return: United Airlines has not operated these routes since 2023, and it will be the only American airline to offer direct flights between Tel Aviv and both Chicago and Washington.

Thus, it solidifies its position as the leading American airline in Israel, with an extensive network including two daily flights to New York/Newark, as well as the addition of the renewed routes to Washington and Chicago.

Patrick Quayle, Senior Vice President of Global Network Planning and Alliances at United, stated upon the announcement: "The renewal of these flights underscores United's longstanding commitment to Tel Aviv."

United Airlines clarified that all flights to Israel are operated after a thorough review of safety, security, and operational considerations.

The return to Washington and Chicago positions the company at the forefront of American operations to Israel alongside Delta Air Lines, which currently operates a daily flight between Tel Aviv and New York, while American Airlines has yet to resume its flights to Israel.

Let us recall that United Airlines, announced its expansion of the winter flight schedule for 2026. The initiative includes adding daily flights to popular U.S. destinations, opening new routes in the southern part of the country, and strengthening ties with Central American countries.

Starting January 6, 2026, United Airlines will add additional daily flights from Houston to Orlando, Las Vegas, New Orleans, Atlanta, Baltimore, and Miami. Chicago will also see additions to destinations like Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, New Orleans, and Las Vegas, while New York/Newark will be bolstered with more flights to Orlando and Fort Lauderdale. Additionally, a new daily flight from Los Angeles to Las Vegas will be launched.
