Expo 2020 presents: A free Coldplay concert

Scheduled to end on March 31, it looks like Expo 2020 in Dubai still has some surprises in store, with a free Coldplay concert in support of the Program for People and Planet

The famous British band Coldplay, led by Chris Martin, will perform at the Al Wasl Plaza on February 15, as part of the Infinite Nights Series at Expo 2020 Dubai, and the whole show will be streamed live.

As the group prides itself on its commitment to the environment, the show will be part of the Expo 2020 Program for People and Planet, and it seems like the perfect fit since the UAE is the first country in the region to launch a Net Zero by 2050 Strategic Initiative.

In its statement, the band said, “We always try to put togetherness and sustainability at the heart of everything we do. It is an honor to be invited to perform at Expo 2020 Dubai Infinite Nights for a special celebration of these two themes.”

The Coldplay concert will take place at Al Wasl Plaza at 9 pm, February 15. The show will be free to Expo 2020 visitors, but entry tickets are required. For those wanting to attend the concert in person at Al Wasl Dome, bookings will start at 9 pm on February 12. And if you cannot make it, the concert will be live-streamed on the Virtual Expo website.
