Due to the escalating conflict with Hamas in Gaza and the barrage of more than 1500 missiles launched at Israel, Ben Gurion International Airport, the country’s main gateway outside Tel Aviv, has been closed to incoming international flights as of this morning (Thursday), with all flights diverted to Ramon Airport, close to Eilat in the South of Israel.
All passengers landing at Ramon Airport will undergo the mandatory corona test upon arrival, and the Israel Airports Authority will offer incoming passengers buses or domestic flights to take them north to Tel Aviv.
International departures will depart from Ben Gurion Airport, as usual, and all domestic flights from Eilat will continue to land at Ben Gurion Airport.
This announcement comes amid news that Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, Fly Dubai, Turkishh Airlines, United Airlines, American Airlines and others are canceling or postponing their flights to Tel Aviv.
