Flydubai’s growing network in Turkey

Flights to Izmir will start on June 26, three times a week. The carrier aims to grow its Turkish network to six destinations, with seasonal flights to Bodrum and Trabzon from June 23

Flydubai, the low-cost Dubai-based airline, announced the launch of a three-weekly service to Izmir, Turkey, starting June 26. With the new addition, the carrier’s network in Turkey will grow to four destinations, including Ankara, Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW), and Istanbul Airpor (IST).

From June 23, Flydubai will also operate seasonal flights to Bodrum and Trabzon to offer passengers more travel options this summer.

According to Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO of flydubai: “We are pleased to see our network in Turkey grow further with the start of flights to Izmir. During the busy summer period, we will operate 24 flights a week to Turkey, providing passengers with more opportunities to experience different cities in the country whether they are traveling for a city break or beach holiday. The new direct flights will help stimulate trade links between Dubai and one of the busiest cities in Turkey.”

Located on the Aegean coast, Izmir is the third-largest city in Turkey, known for its archaeological sites, rich heritage, and pleasant coastal climate. The city’s location allows for easy access to some of the most beautiful seaside villages and beaches, ideal for a getaway or a day trip far from the hustle and bustle of the city center.

Commenting on the recent announcement, Jeyhun Efendi, Senior VP, Commercial Operations and E-commerce at flydubai, added: “We are committed to making travel more accessible and providing more choice for our passengers. We are confident that Izmir will be a popular choice for passengers from the UAE and GCC. We look forward to welcoming our passengers on board, and we hope they enjoy the flydubai experience whether they are traveling in Business Class or Economy Class.”

Flights to Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport (ADB) will take off from Terminal 2 at Dubai International (DXB), operating three times a week on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Emirates will codeshare with Flydubai on this route, offering passengers more options for connections through its Dubai hub. Return Business Class fares from DXB to ADB start from $2400, and Economy Class Lite fares start from $500.
