It looks like many Israelis miss the magic of Christmas markets in European cities – the promise of gorgeous light shows, food stalls, and mulled wine – not to mention the lure of world-famous ski resorts in the Alps.
In light of the rising demand for ski and Christmas vacations, Lufthansa Group recently announced its special prices for the coming winter season. Starting Thursday, November 4, Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa and SWISS offer special prices to a select number of destinations in Europe, valid for bookings until November 21 and for departures from November 15 to January 31, 2022.
Here is a sample of prices: Vienna from $139, Zurich from $169, Brussels from $185, Munich from $219, Hamburg from $219, and Frankfurt from $229, including taxes.
Back to the U.S. from November 8
After more than a year and a half of hiatus, when all connecting flights from Tel Aviv to the U.S. through Europe were suspended, Lufthansa Group will resume its network of convenient connections from TLV to 18 destinations in the U.S., starting November 8.
Lufthansa Group reports a significant increase in ticket sales in all departments, especially in business class, to many destinations in the U.S. Since about 25% of the group’s Israeli passengers fly to the U.S., this is indeed great news for the Israeli market.
