Emirates aims to expand its transatlantic operations, with a re-launch of its direct flight from Milan to NYC, an extension of the company’s route from Dubai to Malpensa.
Emirates has recently announced it will resume its direct flights from Milan to NYC, starting June 1st, 2021, thus re-launching a year-round connection between Europe and the US.
The route from Milan (Malpensa airport) to New York (JFK) will be an extension to the company’s existing flights to Milan EK205, operated by Boeing 777-300 ER, offering 8 seats in First Class, 42 lie-flat seats in Business and 304 ergonomic seats in Economy.
The airline’s service to and from JFK will increase to three times daily, and Emirates has also recently reiterated its commitment to the US, with re-launched services to 11 gateways (including Orlando and Newark in June). As stated in the press release, “The resumed service between Dubai-Milan-JFK will offer more choice to travelers heading from Europe, the Middle East, West Asia, and Africa via Dubai or Milan as well as give seamless access to other US cities beyond New York via the airline’s codeshare agreement with Jetblue.”
