Turkish Airlines adds a second destination in Montenegro, besides the capital Podgorica. The inaugural flight to Tivat Airport from İstanbul Airport took off yesterday (June 11), on a B737-800 aircraft.
Attending the flag carrier’s first flight to Tivat, Turkish Airlines General Manager Bilal Ekşi commented at the ceremony: “Now we are launching flights to our second destination in Montenegro, a country we share historical ties with, we are connecting Tivat to 128 countries worldwide, as our 340th destination… With its wonderful location, history, rich cuisine, and beautiful Adriatic coast, we are happy to connect Tivat to the world with our extensive flight network.”
Distinguishing itself with its ports, beaches, natural beauties, and historical sites, the coastal city of Tivat is also rather close to other historical and touristic cities, including Cetinje (the old capital), Kotor, Budva, Stari Bar, and Ulcinj.
With Tivat, the Turkish flag carrier increases its flight network to 340 destinations, offering three flights a week, on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays until 31 October 2022.
