As reported on Saturday by the state news agency WAM, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has just announced it will resume issuing tourist visas to fully vaccinated travelers from all countries, starting August 30. The decision also applies to people coming in from previously restricted or banned countries.
Applicants must be fully vaccinated with one of the vaccines approved by the World Health Organization (WHO). In addition, tourists entering the Emirates will need to do a mandatory rapid PCR test at the airport. All previous requirements from non-vaccinated groups are still valid.
To enjoy the benefits granted to vaccinated travelers, tourists can register their vaccination Green Certificates through the ICA platform or Al Hosn App.
According to WAM, the move is part of the UAE’s strategy to balance public health and various vital sectors and support the national steps taken to achieve sustainable recovery and revive the economic sector.
