Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, the low-cost carrier of the UAE, announced yesterday (Thursday) its plans to launch a direct route from Abu Dhabi to the island paradise of the Maldives.
The new routes will offer travelers the opportunity to explore this ever-popular destination at an affordable price, with fares starting from about $150 one way.
Starting October 4, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi will offer 4 weekly flights to Male, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Flights to the Maldives will be operated on brand-new Airbus A321neo aircraft, and with the new route, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi will offer a total of 34 destinations within a five-hour flight radius of Abu Dhabi. Other destinations include Alexandria (Egypt), Almaty (Kazakhstan), Baku (Azerbaijan), Manama (Bahrain), Tirana (Albania), and Yerevan (Armenia).
