Wizz Air celebrates milestone in Cyprus. Since its first flight to Cyprus in 2010, Wizz Air has transported over 10 million passengers to and from the island.
This year, the airline also celebrates the fifth anniversary of its operational base at Larnaca Airport, a significant achievement for both the company and the country.
The event, organized with help from Hermes Airports at Larnaka International Airport, was joined by many officials. The list included Kostas Koumis, the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Dr. Marina Ioannou Hasapi, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works, Dr. Costas Constantinou, Permanent Secretary of the Deputy Ministry of Tourism Dr. Costas Constantinou, Hungary’s Ambassador to Cyprus, Krisztina Lakos, Hermes Airports’ chief executive officer, Eleni Kaloyirou, and Mayor of Larnaca Andreas Vyras and Deputy Mayor Iason Iasonides.
Before the celebration that featured a cake-cutting ceremony, the airline made five passengers of the 10th million flight to Cyprus very happy by handing them “Golden Tickets”.

Meanwhile, Wizz Air announced that it has embarked on a bold €14 billion Customer First Compass transformation plan aimed at placing customers at the heart of its operations. The plan features “My Journey”, a fresh in-app feature meant to change the way passengers track and manage flights on mobile.
