After hours of riots initiated by pro-Palestinian and anti-Israeli protesters mainly in the Milan area and Rome, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has given a harsh response.
"The images coming from Milan are shameful," Meloni wrote on Instagram while publishing horrific protest images that circulated online. "People labeled 'pro-Pal', 'Antifa' or 'pacifists' destroy property and incite confrontations with law enforcement authorities", she added.

The Italian PM concluded her remarks by saying her thoughts were with law enforcement authorities, "who are forced to endure the arrogance and useless violence" of protesters, while expressing hope for "clear condemnation from the strike organizers and all political forces".
At the start of the month, ITA Airways announced it would keep its Tel Aviv flights suspended through October 31, 2025.
