Following Thursday's violent attack at the Manchester synagogue, British security forces and Manchester police have announced an ongoing investigation into the severe incident that occurred outside the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation.
British authorities have since announced that three suspects, two men in their 30s and a woman in her 60s, have been arrested on suspicion of execution, preparation, and incitement to terrorist acts.
Manchester Police report that, according to an initial assessment, although an official identification has not yet been made, the main suspect in the attack is Jihad Al-Shamia, a 35-year-old British citizen of Syrian origin.
The attack resulted in the deaths of two men and the severe injury of three other, one by stabbing, another by car ramming, and the third, later hospitalized, from attempting to stop the attacker.
Police will continue the official identification of the deceased and are offering support to their families, as well as assistance to the injured and the wider community.
