The German Air Traffic Control (DFS) announced this morning (Saturday, October 4, 2025) that, following reports of drones over Munich Airport last night, flight operations were initially postponed. Takeoffs and landings will gradually resume from 7:00 AM.
However, the DFS emphasized that extensive delays are expected throughout the day, and passengers are advised to check airline updates before arriving at the airport.

As we reported yesterday on Passport News, airport activity was halted twice on Thursday and Friday nights following unverified drone sightings.
The incidents caused major disruptions, as dozens of flights were canceled or redirected, and approximately 3,000 passengers were forced to stay overnight in the terminals.
Munich Airport authorities reiterated that passenger safety is their top priority: "When there is any suspicion of drones, operations are immediately halted."
The Federal Police and Bavaria Police are investigating the cases. Meanwhile, similar alerts have been reported at other airports across Europe, including Denmark, Norway, Estonia, Poland, Lithuania, and Belgium, as well as last night in Prague.
