Wizz Air Launches Flights Linking Israel and Slovakia.

The Hungarian low-cost airline continues to expand its routes. Following yesterday's announcement regarding Montenegro's fresh routes to 12 European cities, the airline is currently in the spotlight with its new routes from its base in Bratislava.

The new routes from Slovakia's capital will be to Chisinau (Moldova), Tuzla (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Larnaca (Cyprus), Warsaw (Poland), and Tel Aviv (Israel). Flights from Israel to Bratislava, starting on March 17, 2026, can already be found in the Wizz Air booking system, operating five times a week.

In August, the company announced another new and fast route connecting Slovakia's two largest cities, Bratislava and Košice. The flight time is only 35 minutes, compared to a five- to six-hour drive or train ride.

Basic prices for flights from Tel Aviv start at 230 ILS (approximately $66) one way, or 460 ILS ($132) for a round trip before club discount, without carry-on or checked baggage, and no seating assignment.

What Can Passengers Expect?

Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, combines green landscapes, a promenade along the Danube River, a romantic old city, local restaurants and bars, and its strategic proximity to Vienna, Budapest, and Prague.

It's a European city that is accessible and pleasant with a relaxed atmosphere, affordable prices, and high personal safety.

Bratislava's M. R. Štefánik International Airport has experienced rapid development in the last two years, becoming increasingly sought after in the European airspace. In summer 2025, six new routes were opened, including a renewed partnership with Norwegian Airlines, which opened a direct route from Bratislava to Copenhagen.

Next week, the city will host the annual conference of the Association of Travel Agencies (October 19-October 22).

The conference, held in collaboration with the Slovak Tourism Office, is dedicated to deepening cooperation between Israel's tourism sector and its Slovak counterparts.

Traditionally, this is the main and prestigious event of the travel industry, attracting hundreds of office owners, travel agents, airline representatives, business partners, and professionals every year.
