Israelis flock to Greece. While September was marked by the start of the high holidays, it still significantly contributed to the influx of Israeli tourists in Greece. According to the Airport Authority report published yesterday (October 16th), 302,421 passengers visited Greece in September alone, accounting for 15% of travelers departing from Ben Gurion Airport. The figure marks a 26% boost compared to last September.
Over 1 Million Israeli Passengers in 3 Months
In July and August, 749,643 Israelis flew to Greece, with 321,718 choosing July, and the rest opting for August. In total, 1,052,064 Israelis visited Greece over the three-month holiday period from July to September 2025. The figures are expected to stay equally impressive, particularly since October, which features pleasant weather, also coincided with many holidays this year.

This represents 13.72% of all travelers from Ben Gurion and almost a 25% increase compared to the same period last year.
In both the monthly report for September 2025 and the overall calculation from the start of the year, Greece ranks first among countries visited by Israelis. The United States ranks second, the United Arab Emirates third, Cyprus fourth, and Italy fifth.
It is notable that a large number of airlines fly to Greece, including El Al and Sundor, Israir, Arkia, Blue Bird, TUS, AEGEAN, and others.
