The company statement explained that the issue has caused operations to be temporarily halted: “Alaska Airlines is experiencing an IT system failure, and as a result, the company’s operations have been temporarily stopped. We apologize for the inconvenience. If you are scheduled to fly tonight, please check your flight status before arriving at the airport.”
In a further update, it was stated that the company “is still experiencing a system failure affecting operations, and as a result, some flights tonight and tomorrow have been canceled. We apologize for the inconvenience and ask passengers to check their flight status before heading to the airport.”
The company has not yet announced when the system is expected to return to full operation.
