Brussels Airlines will operate flights to Kilimanjaro, Tanzania.
Starting June 3, 2026, Lufthansa Group's Brussels Airlines has announced another thrilling destination for leisure travelers seeking to discover sub-Saharan Africa. The move will further strengthen the airline's position as a leader in the region.

Credit: Brussels Airlines With the addition of Kilimanjaro, the company's network of destinations in sub-Saharan Africa will grow to 18 destinations, including five in the east of the continent: Entebbe (Uganda), Kigali (Rwanda), Bujumbura (Burundi), Nairobi (Kenya), and now Kilimanjaro.
Kilimanjaro City is the gateway to Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak, as well as to other points of interest such as the Serengeti National Park and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Company CEO Dorothea von Boxberg: "Sub-Saharan Africa is our second home, and we are delighted to add a new and exciting destination to our route network. Tanzania is a sought-after safari destination, and we are proud to contribute to the local economy by connecting Kilimanjaro to Brussels and the world."
In addition, the company announced the expansion of its operations to more destinations for the summer of 2026. To strengthen its routes to Europe, Spain and Portugal will receive an additional 17 weekly flights to Barcelona, Malaga, Alicante, and Oporto.
