Emirates is boosting its Dubai-Cairo route this winter. Starting December 1, 2025, the popular airline will add a total of six extra weekly flights, simplifying connections across its global network.

Passengers travelling for business and leisure alike will benefit from the changes, with special emphasis on the peak winter season.

By February 1, 2026, Emirates will operate a daily flight on the route, complementing its existing four daily services. The flights will be operated using Boeing 777 aircraft, with schedules designed to connect smoothly to key Asian destinations, including Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand.

Cairo has always been an important destination for Emirates. Adnan Kazim, the airline’s Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, highlighted its significance, saying, “As one of the region’s busiest gateways for both passengers and cargo, Cairo has long been a key destination for Emirates. The additional service will make it easier for customers to connect across our network, while fostering strong trade and tourism links between Egypt, the UAE and the wider world. On the eve of our 40th anniversary of operations to Cairo, the enhanced schedule is a mark of our unwavering commitment to the region. We’d like to extend our thanks to the Egyptian authorities for their support in securing this new frequency and look forward to welcoming passengers onboard soon.”

Outside of Dubai, Cairo has the highest number of Emirates A380s deployed in the Middle East and North Africa. With the new daily service, it will become the airline’s most-served city in Africa, underlining Emirates’ long-term dedication to the Egyptian market.

The extra flights will also expand cargo capacity, offering around 300 tonnes per week via the Boeing 777s. Emirates SkyCargo plays a crucial role in transporting goods, including fresh produce such as Egyptian strawberries, fruits, and vegetables. This supports local businesses and connects them to global markets efficiently.

Emirates has had a presence in Egypt since 1986, growing steadily to serve over 10 million passengers to and from the country. The expanded schedule strengthens trade, tourism, and cultural ties between the UAE and Egypt while offering passengers more flexibility and seamless connections to Emirates’ global destinations.
