Train accident in the Bratislava area results in injuries. On Sunday evening, the 158 police hotline in Bratislava received a report about a collision between two trains on the line between Pezinok and Bratislava Hlavná Stanica.
Rescue forces and police arrived at the scene immediately. According to the police, no fatalities were recorded as a result of the collision, and initial reports indicated that about 30 people were injured as a result of the serious incident.
An initial investigation into the incident is already underway, and the parties involved are working to clarify the circumstances of the incident.
Later, according to official updates from emergency services in Slovakia, 18 of the injured passengers were taken to four hospitals in Bratislava for medical treatment. Some of them are in serious condition.
Police have asked the public not to share unverified information and to allow emergency and transportation agencies to complete the technical examinations at the scene.
