Photo: SAMSUNG Technology giant Samsung Electronics and Turkish Airlines have announced a new collaboration aimed at improving the travel experience using SmartThings Find.
As of yesterday, December 1, 2025, Turkish Airlines passengers can use the Smart Tagged Baggage service and attach a link with location data based on Galaxy SmartTag to their baggage claim.

SmartThings Find uses BLE and UWB, two popular wireless technologies designed for proximity sensing and location tracking. The two technologies work by locating registered Galaxy devices and items with Galaxy SmartTags attached. The service is currently supported by a global network consisting of over 700 million Galaxy devices, enabling secure monitoring of phones, tablets, watches, headphones, and tagged items.
The move allows the airline to improve its ability to locate luggage by allowing passengers to easily upload a photo of their suitcase to the app, making it significantly easier to identify in case of loss. This option was not available in previous versions of a similar product developed by Samsung.
The tech company has expressed its intention to further expand its collaboration with additional airlines. In addition, Turkish Airlines says it plans to integrate SmartThings Find into additional service areas based on location technologies and customer experience
It should be noted that Apple has been selling the AirTag for a long time, which many passengers use to track their luggage by placing the product inside the suitcase and sending it to the belly of the plane.
