New Model and AI Behind the Wheel: Mercedes' Innovations at CES 2026

The new MB.DRIVE system will enable advanced SAE Level 2 driving assistance, alongside a leap forward in the entertainment and electric drive systems of future models, including an interesting electric model

Mercedes-Benz is currently unveiling a series of technological innovations and strategic collaborations at the CES 2026 technology show in Las Vegas, aimed at advancing the driving experience, safety, and entertainment in the vehicle.

At the center of the announcement is a collaboration between Mercedes and NVIDIA, which will develop the MB.DRIVE system designed to provide an advanced driving assistance experience using artificial intelligence capabilities. The system combines the Drive AV software and the Nvidia DRIVE AGX computing platform, and enables SAE Level 2 driving assistance.

Using the MB.DRIVE ASSIST PRO system, you can navigate with the push of a button in an urban environment, from parking to your destination, using advanced driver assistance systems designed to improve the level of safety and comfort in everyday driving.

In addition, Mercedes is introducing significant innovations in the MBUX system, including advanced audio streaming in collaboration with Dolby Atmos, video streaming capabilities using DTS AutoStage Video from TiVo, and the integration of Sony Pictures Entertainment's RIDEVU platform, which includes IMAX Enhanced content and DTS:X sound.

In the field of electric models, Mercedes will also unveil the new electric GLC for the first time, with an output of 483 horsepower and an estimated driving range of up to 713 kilometers. The model features the artificial intelligence-driven MB.OS platform, a 39.1-inch MBUX Hyperscreen, innovations in spatial sound, as well as the MB.DRIVE system that provides a new generation of driver assistance technologies.

Mercedes notes that all of the innovations unveiled at the exhibition are intended to lay the foundation for the next generation of the driving experience, with an emphasis on safety, connectivity, advanced entertainment, and deep integration of artificial intelligence in the vehicle.
