Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, one of the busiest and most important airports in Europe, announced today that it is ceasing its activity on the social network X (formerly Twitter) and will no longer respond to public inquiries on the platform.

The statement posted on Schiphol’s official page read: "As of today, we are no longer active on X. We will not reply to mentions, comments or DMs on this platform anymore."

Schiphol did not specify the reasons for the decision, and the announcement comes amid heightened tensions between Elon Musk, owner of X, and Ryanair.

The airport clarified that passengers who need information or assistance are asked to contact it via the contact form on the official website or through other social platforms where it continues to operate.
