The harsh winter in Europe continues to disrupt air traffic on the continent. Days after Bucharest's code red storm that paralyzed the city's two airports, Vienna Airport is also suffering from severe weather, including a snowstorm in the Austrian capital's airport area.

Dozens of flights have been canceled due to weather that prevents normal flight operations in the area. Vienna Airport issued a special weather announcement: "Due to heavy snowfall, flight connections to and from Vienna are currently being disrupted," said the Vienna Schwechat Airport website. "Nothing is running until at least midday."

"We recommend that all passengers check the current status of their flight with the respective airline. Passengers whose flights have been canceled are asked not to come to the airport."
