Main Runway Closed for 5 Months: Prague Airport Undergoes Significant Upgrade

Upgrades and renovation work at Prague Airport. The airport announced a plan to modernize the area around its main runway, runway 06/24.

According to today's announcement, the runway will be closed for four and a half months starting March 30, and traffic will be transferred to the secondary runway 12/30.

The second phase of the closure will include 17 projects, ranging from widening the taxiway intersection to replacing lights for safer aircraft navigation.

Due to work being carried out on only some runways, no disruption to the airport's ongoing operations is expected.
