Lufthansa will operate a special flight from Muscat, Oman, to Frankfurt, Germany, on the night of March 4–5 to repatriate German citizens from the region. The flight will use an Airbus A340-300 and is arranged on behalf of the German government, so it is not available for regular booking. German citizens in the region are encouraged to register on the Federal Foreign Office’s crisis prevention list (ELEFAND).
Due to the ongoing situation in the Middle East, Lufthansa Group airlines have suspended flights to the following destinations until March 8, 2026: Tel Aviv, Beirut, Amman, Erbil, and Tehran. The airline will avoid the airspace of Israel, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Dammam, and Iran until the same date.
Flights to and from Dubai and Abu Dhabi are suspended until March 6, and the UAE airspace will not be used during this period. Additionally, all flights to and from Larnaca, Cyprus are suspended through March 6.
