Brussels Airport has today (March 26, 2026) announced two direct routes to its network. Air China, the national flag carrier of China and a major member of the Star Alliance, will connect Brussels with Beijing. The airline that operates a global network consisting of more than 1,100 destinations across 190+ countries will also add Chengdu to its roster of destinations on the Asian continent.
Photo: Shuterstock The fast-growing city, located in the Western part of the country and also known as the capital of Sichuan Province, a sanctuary for giant pandas, and a UNESCO City of Gastronomy, will be served by Brussels Airport for the first time. By adding it to its network, the airport has expanded its Asian offer to 9 direct destinations.
