Korean Air Issues Urgent Warning About Fraudulent Advertisers Impersonating Them on Social Media

Korean Air alerts travelers to fake ads on social media designed to steal personal data and payments, urging caution across Instagram and Facebook. "Please stay alert to protect your data and assets"

Korean Air, South Korea's flag carrier has issued an urgent safety "warning against impersonation scams".

"Fraudulent advertisements impersonating Korean Air are currently circulating on Instagram and Facebook. These ads are designed to trick users into providing personal information or making unauthorized payments. Please stay alert to protect your data and assets," siad Korean Air on X.

Earlier this week, the airline became the official sponsor of the national football team under a new two-year deal inked with the Korea Football Association (KFA).

"We are fully committed to backing our national team’s success and elevating the global prestige of Korean football," a Korean Air representative said. “We look forward to providing unwavering support every step of the way.”

The company also opened its "newly renovated, next-generation flagship lounge" at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) at the start of the month, on March 6, 2026. 

The renovated lounge is spread across two levels, with the First Class Lounge located on the 6th floor and the Miler Club & Prestige Class Lounge found on the 5th floor.
