Last month, we announced one of Disneyland Paris' most significant moves in its history: the planned opening of World of Frozen, a new complex inspired by the iconic “Frozen” movie, and the renaming of the second park to Disney Adventure World.
The move, which was inaugurated at a festive event last weekend, is part of a large-scale investment plan worth approximately 2 billion euros, designed to expand and renew the experience of visiting the site.
A New World of Experiences
As anticipated, the highlight of the expansion is the World of Frozen complex, which offers an immersive experience and includes a musical cruise attraction, encounters with Anna and Elsa, and live performances around the new Adventure Bay lake.
The park was also redesigned under the name Disney Adventure World, with a new central boulevard, family attractions, about 15 food complexes, and an advanced nighttime show that combines gliders, fountains, and special effects.
An Investment That Will Strengthen Tourism in Europe
Disney notes that since the site opened in 1992, it has received approximately 445 million visits, accounting for approximately 6% of France's tourism revenue.
The park's president, Natasha Rafalski, called it a strategic move:
"For more than thirty years, we have invested for the long term, creating jobs, supporting regional development, and strengthening Europe’s tourism influence. The transformation underway today at Disney Adventure World aims to elevate the guest experience while delivering lasting, positive impact for local communities, the economy, and employment.”
Walt Disney Company CEO Josh D'Amaro: "With the inauguration of Disney Adventure World and the opening of World of Frozen, we are entering a new phase of growth at Disneyland Paris, expanding our capacity, increasing tourism, and driving meaningful economic impact for France through job creation and local investment.”

The launch events attracted a host of celebrities and industry figures from around the world, along with musical performances and spectacular shows. A highlight was recorded when a 10-year-old girl granted a Make-A-Wish wish, marking the 25,000th wish granted on the site since its launch.
The expansion doesn't stop here: Disney is already working on a new complex inspired by "The Lion King," which is expected to open in the coming years and add another layer to the visitor experience.
For the European tourism industry, this is another significant move that strengthens the site's status as a leading destination, especially at a time when demand for great family experiences continues to rise.
