Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways and Cambodia's national airline, Air Cambodia, have announced a new codeshare partnership to strengthen air connections between Southeast Asia and the Middle East and expand flight options for passengers worldwide.
Under the agreement, Air Cambodia passengers will enjoy convenient access via Abu Dhabi to Etihad’s extensive network of destinations, including dozens of destinations in the Middle East, Europe, Asia, and Australia. For the passenger, this means a smoother and simpler travel experience, with one ticket for the entire route, one check-in, and baggage transfer directly to the final destination.

The move comes amid significant growth for Air Cambodia, which benefits from an “open skies” policy and continued expansion of its international operations. The company has recorded three consecutive years of profitability since 2023 and made an innovative move in 2025, becoming the first airline in the world to offer business class on ATR72-600 aircraft.
In addition, the company continues to expand its fleet of aircraft, with an order for 20 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft and an additional agreement to purchase 20 C909 aircraft, as part of a long-term growth strategy.
The partnership with Etihad joins a series of international agreements that Cambodia is promoting, strengthening its position as an emerging player in the global aviation arena. For Etihad, this is a move that deepens its presence in Asia and expands its network of connections through Abu Dhabi.
Bookings for flights under the new partnership are already open, and are expected to increase traffic between the regions in the coming years.
