Football fans flying east will be happy to hear this: Singapore Airlines, ranked one of the best in the world every year, has announced that it will offer its passengers live coverage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup matches, between June 11 and July 19.
The games will be broadcast via the Sport 24 channel on the KrisWorld Live TV entertainment system, allowing passengers to follow the tournament in real time during the flight.
Photo: SINGAPORE AIRLINES The service will enable football fans to watch games at an altitude of approximately 30,000 feet, as part of the company's overall flight experience. According to the company's announcement, the broadcasts join the wide range of content it offers.
KrisWorld Live TV is available on the airline's Boeing 787-10 and Boeing 737-8 aircraft, as well as 41 Airbus A350-900 aircraft and eight Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. Availability of live broadcasts is subject to satellite coverage, broadcast agreements, and regulatory approvals on select routes.
In addition to sports broadcasts, the system also includes news and business updates via BBC News, as part of the content offering for passengers during the flight.
