The new base, part of a long-term agreement between easyJet and MNTO, will offer a record 4 million seats in its first year of operation, while generating 100 direct jobs and supporting thousands more indirectly. With this development, easyJet strengthens its position as the #2 carrier in Marrakech and further strengthens its foothold in Morocco.

Six Routes Announced

easyJet also announced the launch of six new routes to Morocco for the upcoming winter season: Prague, Newcastle, and ZurichNantes–Essaouira, Bordeaux–Agadir, and Birmingham–Agadir. This expansion will bring the airline’s total Moroccan network to 58 routes, including 30 serving Marrakech. Several existing services, including Lille, Strasbourg, and Hamburg–Marrakech, will also operate year-round.

easyJet Holidays is also set to benefit from the growth, with Morocco remaining one of its fastest-growing destination markets. In Marrakech alone, the operator now offers more than 70 hotels ranging from three to five stars, including premium properties under its “Luxury Collection,” launched in October 2025.

easyJet CEO Kenton Jarvis: “We couldn’t be happier to launch our base in Morocco for our 20th year of operations in the country and to mark the milestone of 20 million passengers flown over that time. This is a milestone for our development in the region.”
