American Airlines has officially opened the renovated Terminal 8 at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York City, following a comprehensive upgrade process.
The new terminal offers an upgraded airport experience that includes over 60 dining, retail and duty-free outlets, along with a mix of approximately 20 local brands. The mix is designed to reflect the character of New York and give passengers a sense of place upon arrival at the airport.
At the center of the project is The Boroughs Food Hall, which features a mix of well-known local brands alongside new culinary initiatives. In addition, the terminal features luxury and lifestyle stores, alongside first-of-its-kind concepts at North American airports, including an Eataly branch and other culinary brands.
