Yesterday, April 23, 2026, we reported on Hawaiian Airlines and Alaska Airlines decision to move to a shared booking system, an important decision meant to significantly improve passenger experiences across both brands.

But that was not the only good news for the Hawaiian airline, as the international airline alliance oneworld also announced the official accession of Hawaiian Airlines as a full member, strengthening its presence in the Pacific region and the United States.

The company joins Alaska Airlines and American Airlines, becoming the third American airline in the alliance.

The addition of Hawaiian Airlines adds new destinations to the alliance in the Pacific region, including poplar spots in Hawaii, the Cook Islands, American Samoa and Tahiti. In addition, Honolulu will become the alliance's international hub.

Hawaiian Airlines operates approximately 230 international and domestic flights and will carry over 11 million passengers in 2025. The company connects the islands with major destinations in Asia, North America and the South Pacific, including hubs in Los Angeles, New York, Seattle, Sydney and Tokyo.
