Lufthansa has today, April 28, 2026, announced it will allow passengers traveling to and from Singapore and United States to extend their stopover at their Munich hub for up to seven days. Additionally, hotels, car rentals, and other tourist attractions in the Bavarian capital can be included in the same booking via integrated partners within a 24-hour timeframe post-booking.

The special offering will be directly integrated into the booking process on the airline's website and will be available for all travel classes, for the outbound or the return journey. The stay can range between 24 hours and an entire week, with surcharges applying based on the chosen route combination.

Heiko Reitz, Member of the Lufthansa Airlines Board and Hub Manager Munich: "With our new stopover program, we are turning a layover in Munich into real added value for our guests. We are excited to give travelers the opportunity to flexibly incorporate one of Europe's most attractive cities and regions into their journey, enhancing their flight with a truly personal travel experience."

The company has announced a gradual expansion of the program to more regions and destinations in 2027, with additional stopovers in place for other Lufthansa Group hubs.
