Qatar Airways Becomes First Gulf Carrier to Serve Venezuela and First to Operate Bi-Weekly Flights from the Middle East to Caracas and Bogotá

The airline will start operating the new routes to Venezuela and Colombia on July 22, 2026, improving connectivity between the Middle East and the Americas. Multiple-award-winning airline Qatar Airways has expanded its operations in the Americas with the launch of a new service connecting new Caracas, Venezuela, and Bogotá, Colombia, to the Middle East starting July 22, 2026.

The new service, marks a "significant milestone for the airline, as Qatar Airways becomes the first Gulf carrier to serve Venezuela, and the first airline to operate flights from the Middle East to Caracas and Bogotá. This expansion underscores the airline’s commitment, announced last year, to strengthening global connectivity for the region."

Flight schedule: 

The flights will depart on Wednesdays and Sundays, as follows:

-Doha (DOH) to Bogotá (BOG): Flight QR783 departing at 07:30, arriving 16:05

-Bogotá (BOG) to Caracas (CCS): Flight QR783 departing at 17:35, arriving at 20:40

-Caracas (CCS) to Doha (DOH):  Flight QR783 departing at 22:40, arriving at 19:55 +1

The schedule "has been designed to provide smooth onward connections through Hamad International Airport to key markets including Australia, China, Japan, Lebanon, South Korea, and the United Arab Emirates. This offers passengers greater flexibility and seamless transfer options across Qatar Airways’ global network."

Caracas and Bogotá are the 15th and the 16th destinations in the Americas served by the carrier that started serving South America in 2010 with an inaugural flight to São Paulo in Brazil.
