China Eastern Airlines has unveiled a newly painted aircraft as part of a renewed partnership with the Shanghai Museum, supporting the transportation of thousands of historic artifacts for a major upcoming exhibition in China.
The airline announced the special livery on social media, revealing that the aircraft will help transport nearly 3,000 treasures for the exhibition titled “On Top of the World Tree: Ancient Civilizations of the Americas.”
According to the company, the artifacts will travel across the Pacific to Shanghai ahead of the exhibition, which will showcase ancient civilizations from the Americas and highlight cultural exchanges through historical collections and archaeological discoveries.
“We’re excited to team up with Shanghai Museum again. Our newly painted aircraft is ready to transport nearly 3,000 treasures for the upcoming exhibition ‘On Top of the World Tree: Ancient Civilizations of the Americas.’ Across the ocean to Shanghai,” the airline said in its announcement.
